Ok, so three hours, three hundred dollars, three pairs of slacks, three sweaters, three tank top/camisoles, six shirts and two necklaces later, I am finally finished shopping.  And everything goes with everything else, so I think I have plenty of outfits to last me for a little while.

I am feeling much better today, and am glad that I waited an extra day before I went.  My mom came with me, and I am so glad that she did.  It really helped to have an extra opinion and an extra pair of eyes to spot things.  She picked out things that I would have never gone for, but I ended up really liking them!

I also did my makeup again today, which I think really helped for me to see how the outfit would look.  I think that was my problem last time I went shopping, I couldn't get over the fact that I didn't look 'put together'.

Overall, it was a successful day.  Now I just need to finish the laundry, make myself a little dinner and have a relaxing evening at home.

It was a nice day! I don't have the money, but needed the clothes for my new job. When I get my first paycheck, then that credit card bill will be paid off!

Sounds like a fun and productive day! Congratulations on a successful shopping trip, with everything going with everything else! I'm so proud! *blinks back tears*

Thanks, Mimi! It was your help that got me though it! I would have just bought stuff willy-nilly if you hadn't suggested that I buy things that match everything else.

Go you! I'm so glad you had the opportunity and the wherewithal.

Thank you! I'm glad I was able to get everything I need for a while in one trip instead of having to make multiple ones!

It's great to hear that you had such a positive day! Just relax - you know the first day of any job is a downer, so just keep your chin up, enjoy how smart you look in your new clothes and show them what a jewel they've hired.

I will be sending lots of love your way.

I must say, I did look pretty dang good in my new clothes today. Unfortunately, I am not used to wearing nice clothes, and the pants were starting to get on my nerves by the end of the day. Nothing too major, and I think it is just because it sits differently on my hips than jeans, which I normally wear.
