Okay, I know your birthday isn't for another almost three weeks, but I have to post this before I lose my nerve.  teddyradiator, you had mentioned something about this months ago, and I decided to take it on, and make it for you for you birthday.  Well, I have been working on it for months.  Yes, months.  What takes most people a couple of hours took me months.  It's not all my fault, though.  See, the Hubs likes to play with computers.  Like building them kind of playing.  And I had started on this project, and then he would 'play' and erase everything on the hard drive.  Not once.  Not twice did this happen.  But six times.  Finally, I told him that he better not mess with it anymore until I completely finish my project.

Well, after working on it since nine this morning, only stopping to eat, and get a new keyboard, I am finally finished.  Beware, this is the first time I have every attempted something like this, and I am most definitely not a pro at it.  It will most likely be the last time I take on a project like this.

Teddy, you have been such a wonderful friend since the moment I have met you.  I truly hope that you enjoy this (and understand it, because the Hubs had no idea what was going on, if you don't I will be more than happy to explain it).  You deserve everything good the world has to offer and so much more.  You may look now, or wait until your birthday, but I'm gonna guess that you can't wait that long in suspense.

Take a little sneaky peekCollapse )

This is the inner me.  If I had these clothes (and that body)  I would wear those kinds of outfits everyday!

This was a lot more fun than I had anticipatedCollapse )

Well, if you don't like boastful posts, then don't read this.  Because in this post, I am going to be tooting my own horn quite a bit (get your mind out of the gutters, ladies!).  It has been a while since I have felt this good about myself, and I would like to share it with all of you!

Boast, boast, boast-y, boast, boast!Collapse )

Happy birthday stgulik!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

I would type more, but seeing at how those two little statements took me about 5 minutes to type out, I will stop while I'm ahead.  Brain is obviously fried today.

(this is an edited version of lk737's post here)

According to this article, dated March 15, 2012:

"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."

The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly.

Ok, so three hours, three hundred dollars, three pairs of slacks, three sweaters, three tank top/camisoles, six shirts and two necklaces later, I am finally finished shopping.  And everything goes with everything else, so I think I have plenty of outfits to last me for a little while.

I am feeling much better today, and am glad that I waited an extra day before I went.  My mom came with me, and I am so glad that she did.  It really helped to have an extra opinion and an extra pair of eyes to spot things.  She picked out things that I would have never gone for, but I ended up really liking them!

I also did my makeup again today, which I think really helped for me to see how the outfit would look.  I think that was my problem last time I went shopping, I couldn't get over the fact that I didn't look 'put together'.

Overall, it was a successful day.  Now I just need to finish the laundry, make myself a little dinner and have a relaxing evening at home.

So I start work on Monday.  I'm not all that nervous, at least not yet anyway.

I have put off shopping for new work clothes until this weekend, when the Hubs got paid, to avoid using credit cards.  Unfortunately, I have yet to make it out of the house.

See, my mom got sick Monday evening.  She usually watches my nephew while my sister is at work and her husband is at school.  Since she couldn't watch him, the only other option for my sister was me, since her husband's parents were out of town.

I agreed because although I don't really like dealing with kids, I like to help people out when they need me.  And I won't have the chance to once this job starts.

I watched him on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Not a big deal.  But the previous week, my sister and nephew were sick.  They are fine now, and I didn't think twice about it.

Thursday came around, and I was really, really sick.  I don't get sick expect for once every couple of years.  Luckily, this was the same bug that my mom and step-dad had, too.  We think it came from my sister and nephew, which isn't a problem, everyone gets sick.  My mom told me that it would only last about 12 hours, but to take it easy for the next couple of days so I will be better when I start work.

So when I was supposed to be shopping yesterday, I was laying in bed, watching tv and playing with my new PhotoShop (a-whole-nother story, can't get anything to look right!), trying to drink plenty of fluids and eat a little.  And today, when I'm supposed to be shopping and celebrating my anniversary, I am still laying in bed, reading Sherlock fanfiction.

Speaking of Sherlock, I have recently watched the BBC version, and oh my goodness!  Finally, after nagging the Hubs to watch it with me, he gave in.  We ended up watching the first season in one night.  And the second season about three days later.  And my husband is not one to watch tv frequently, and will never watch something twice, but he asked me last night to rewatch the series!  Yay!  And he also said that if he were gay, he would go after Sherlock, and I can't disagree with him there.

So the plan for tomorrow, and it has to happen, whether I am feeling up to it or not, is to go shopping.  I need some clothes, and possibly more makeup.  My mother-in-law, who works at the same company, called and told me that the week I start is jeans week, and she has already paid for me to wear jeans, but I feel like I need to dress up for the first day.

Also, I need to go through my makeup, and make sure I can still remember how to apply it and make it look good.  So that mean that some youtube videos may be in order.  Perhaps, I may just bring all my make up (the whole 12 pieces that I have) into my room today and work on that this afternoon.

I highly doubt any of this makes sense, because I feel that my brain is still not quite working right just yet.  I apologize for that, but wanted to give you all an update on everything since I haven't been around much lately.

I do not get emotional during movies.  I can count on one hand the movies that have made me cry.  And after I finish watching it, I'm fine.

I just finished watching Third Star.  I have never, ever been this emotional.  I finished the movie a little bit ago, and I am still getting waves of emotion coming over me.

If you want to have some laughs and a really good cry, I highly suggest this movie.  It was so well made.  I am having a strong love/hate relationship with it.  It is so painful, but undeniably brilliant.

Now I am off to cry some more...

So the Hubs wants to get me Photoshop as a combination of Valentines/Anniversary gift!  Which I am super excited for.  Unfortunately  I think it will take a bit longer to get than I had previously anticipated.  But, the point is, her really, really wants to get me the program because he feels that I don't ask for much and wants to give me something that costs quite a bit for all the things that he gets.

While at first I was absolutely against it because it costs waaaay too much, he convinced me to download the free 30 day trial.  I have been playing around with it these past few days.  Using some tutorials to get a little familiarity.

Well, this evening, I created this little beaut.  It only took a couple of hours, but I think this is one of my favorite ones that I have made.  Extremely proud of it and just wanted to share my joy!
